Helping wellness professionals build a website that reflects their values is always an honour — and this project with Sanctuary Counselling was a beautiful reminder of how powerful aligned design can be. We brought together a calm, iridescent aesthetic and a compassionate tone of voice to create a counselling website that feels like a true sanctuary: safe, supportive, and filled with possibility.
A website that feels like a safe space
Sanctuary Counselling offers heart-led counselling and breathwork sessions in Greater Vancouver, guiding clients through personal healing, reconnection, and self-discovery. Justina came to me with a self-designed logo but wasn’t sure how to turn it into something more.
The design direction: soft, soulful, and iridescent
Together, we took inspiration from prisms, abalone shells, and the calming spectrum of colours found in nature. The resulting palette features soft gradients of purples, pinks, blues, and yellows, evoking joy, hope, and serenity — all at once. This direction helped us create a space that feels both uplifting and grounding, which is exactly what Sanctuary represents.
